Welcome to the Official PAC-MAN 30th Anniversary Destination!
CNBC recognizes that PAC-MAN’s leap to the iPad demonstrates that he has not left the rat-race of ever advancing video game technology and has no plans to anytime soon! PAC-MAN was one of the original social gaming experiences back in the ‘80s when people would gather around the arcade machine to watch their friends play. Well now the gathering can begin anew with the iPad and PAC-MAN at any location you can think of!

Casual PC Game Combines Time Management with Classic Arcade Hero
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 15, 2010—Namco Networks, a leading publisher and developer of mobile, iPhone and PC games for mass-market casual gamers, today announced that PAC-MAN Pizza Parlor is now open for business. Available for the first two weeks exclusively on PAC-MAN’s website(www.pacman.com), the new addition to Namco’s PC library blends together the classic arcade icon with the familiar gameplay mechanics of a Time Management game.
Toru Iwatani created PAC-MAN and his shape when he saw a missing slice from his pizza pie. Developing a version of PAC-MAN that took place in a pizza parlor was an appropriate choice given this fact. In the newest PAC-MAN rendition, PAC-MAN Pizza Parlor, players help Cathy cook up orders for her hungry customers by guiding PAC-MAN around the conveyer belt and collecting ingredients. The faster an order is filled, the higher the tip—providing players the option to purchase upgrades and customize their kitchen for speedier service. Players will advance to the next stage once they meet their daily goals, and will periodically play through mini-games between levels.
According to the General Manager of PC Games at Namco Networks, David Schwartz, “Our goal for this game was to tie in elements of the classic arcade title that everyone knows and loves with the strategy and skills required for the Time Management genre. I have no doubt that casual gamers will be captivated by the addictive gameplay PAC-MAN Pizza Parlor provides.”
PAC-MAN Pizza Parlor features:
- More than 80 stages of tasty recipes and yummy ingredients
- Customizable looks for your kitchen and unlockable equipment
- Expert mode for extra spicy challenges
- Colorful comic cutscenes that tell Cathy’s story
- Dozens of delicious dishes for hungry customers
Test your Time Management skills with a 60-minute free trial on PAC-MAN’s website (www.pacman.com). The game will become available on Namco’s website shortly. Once purchased for $9.99, players can enjoy the 80 stages anytime. A Mac version of PAC-MAN Pizza Parlor will be coming soon.
